Functions of Teaching & Learning Committee and term of references: 

  • ​Formulation of advisory groups to support different programs in the review of the educational programs’ competencies and learning   outcomes.
  • Identify and recommend areas for faculty improvement in relation to teaching and learning in collaboration with faculty development committee, medical education center.
  • Encourage and support the use of technology and the efficient use of high-fidelity simulation.
  • Monitor the alignment between the learning outcomes, and the appropriate instructional methods and the assessment methods.
  • Encourage the use of the post-exam analysis to inform exam teaching and curriculum changes.
  • Develop student’s teaching and learning manuals and assessment guidelines to support the quality of the educational process in the medical campus.
  • Prepare annual strategic plan in alignment with the vision and mission of the medical education center, and the university strategic plan 2019-2024.
  • Prepare an annual report of the committees’ activities at the end of the academic year, and report to the director of the medical education center, and medical education center council.
  • The Committee shall meet at least four (4) times during the academic year, or subject to the call of the Chair.
